Be part of the Park

As well as helping shape the plans, we want the local community to influence future opportunities for engagement, volunteering and activities in the Country Park.

We want Prestley Country Park to be a local treasure - shaped for the community, by the community.

Please let us know what you think by 5pm on Monday, 7 September 2026.

Below is a list of the sorts of things we will be looking to bring forward as part of the delivery of the Country Park, and welcome feedback on the areas you think would help engage you and your neighbours in the Park (please tick as many as relevant):

Prestley Country Park Working Group helping to continue evolving the designs.

Practical volunteer opportunities including tree planting, habitat creation and visitor support.

Education opportunities with presentations, activities, trails and art installations.

Nature-based events and activities catering for a wide variety of ages and interests.

Health and wellbeing events including guided walks and talks from wildlife experts.

Citizen Science to support future ecology surveys and monitoring of the Country Park’s habitats and species.
